Three animal lovers creating stories about amazing rescue animals!

Author
Audra grew up loving every animal she encountered, from the stray cats to all the animals at the local shelter. She also grew up loving books and writing and graduated college with her Journalism degree. She now works in HR, but in her down time she decided to combine two of her greatest passions, animals and writing!

Audra currently has 3 pets of her own, an amazing three-legged dog named Daisy, and two rambunctious cats who were both "Foster Fails", shy Miss Ren and silly boy Archie. She has also had the pleasure of fostering 10 animals so far and hopes to continue spreading awareness about the importance of adopting rescue animals!
Emily Portillo Krocheski

Emily is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where she met her husband Brad. They have a beautiful daughter named Adaline and a handsome pup named Brodie.
Emily is a civil engineer for the City of Plano, working in land development. She has always enjoyed art and is loving the creative outlet illustrating has made. Emily grew up in Austin where she met Audra, their shared goofiness and love of animals made them the best of friends.

Emily is a strong advocate of animal adoption, her dog Brodie was from the local pound. Brad and Emily adopted him in 2017 and consider him a part of the family, their fur baby. Illustrating this book series is a great way to combine a love of art and animals in one.

Meet Cindy, our Spanish translator!
Cindy is a native Spanish speaker with Salvadoran roots. Growing up, she’s enjoyed embracing her heritage alongside her immigrant parents from El Salvador. She continues to have a passion for finding ways to connect with the Spanish speaking community and the Friends of Toby Book Series has given her the opportunity to do just that!
Cindy hopes to continue supporting A&E Publishing on their mission in spreading awareness on the importance of caring for animals and adopting them from shelters whenever possible!

Al crecer, ha disfrutado su cultura junto a sus padres inmigrantes de El Salvador. ¡Sigue teniendo una pasión en encontrando formas de conectarse con la comunidad hispana y la serie de libros Friends of Toby le ha dado la oportunidad de hacer precisamente eso!
